both my wife and i are disgusted at the removal of the bottle banks in Athenry. To date i have not heard one word from any SO CALLED green source speaking out about this . how green is it to get in a car and drive to Monivea to dispose of bottles and jars.
perhaps it would be better just to put them in our landfill bins and save on the petrol.

Patrick Creed has contacted the council about the matter, and was quoted about it in the newspaper. http://www.advertiser.ie/galway/article/16339

I believe the council say they have not yet found a (publicly owned) site suitable for placing the bottle banks.
